ABOUT OFFSIDE
On a blazing hot August day in New London, Connecticut, we started our friendship and time at Connecticut College as roommates. After four long years along the Thames (th-ay-mes) River we decided to take the leap across the pond to once again live as roommates on the River Thames (t-ems). As lovers of football (soccer) we felt it only apt to describe our new adventure as fish out of water in football terms. It's only a plus that our favorite average British man, Marcus Man, has a song that shares the same title.
We are seasoned veterans of The College Voice, Connecticut College's oldest (and best) student newspaper. Catja served as Co-Editor-in-Chief and Zoe was the Layout Editor and a staff writer (and a whole bunch of other things). After a crazy year of student journalism, we don't want our writing and editing skills to go to waste, so we're going old school and starting a blog. Offside will recount our many explorations abroad, meeting new friends, and all the challenges of moving to and living in London.
